Have a file with a table. The table has borders. When I PDF the doc and open the PDF, random horizontal borders are missing. They print properly, though. Same result with using the PDF printer and the Word Save as PDF plugin. There are multiple posts with similar issues, but I haven't seen any solutions. Here's how the table looks in Word:

Select the Conversion Settings profile you want to use and then click on Advanced Settings. Switch to the Fonts section and tick"Embed all fonts" (if it's not ticked already). If you want, save the profile under a new name and then use it when converting your file to a PDF. 5 Upvotes.

If the conversion to Word is messed up due to the encoding, try copy and paste from the PDF file directly into an empty Word document. That may work. If that doesn't work, another possibility would be, if you are running under Windows with Acrobat, to print to the Adobe PDF PostScript printer driver and create a new PDF file from the old one.

From the Home Screen click on See All Tools > Action Wizard, or from Menu go to View > Tools > Action Wizard. Click on the action you want to run from the right-side pane. Ex. PDF to Word. You can view the files from your folder, and once you're ready click on"Start".

You're correct that Russian isn't one of the languages supported for OCR in Export PDF or PDF Pack. However, it is available for OCR in Acrobat if you're working with a PDF created from a scanned document. If you don't have Acrobat, you can try it for free for 30 days. See

OCR is enabled by default when you convert your files via the Export PDF services. However, that may not be the case for other mechanisms of creating PDFs. Place your cursor in the middle of the text block that you want to edit and then double-click to select a word in the text. Triple-click to select a paragraph.
